They're not really dying early deaths. They said that Hisame died after her daughter was all grown-up and pregnant. Aside from Hayase herself, everyone else seem to live just fine after passing the knocker to their successor.
They also seem to be living fairly happy lives, all things considered. Starting their own families, leading a successful organization that helps other people, etc.

@AlesGio he tries to care but they legit are in love with their little knocker. like they r addicted to drugs man, and its apart of their body. fushi might amputate the arm but end up killing the person. also, he is more numb after that long of living and seeing the hayashi people
