The new age arc being a sequel doesn't make sense imo.

Take Tokyo Ghoul, its sequel had a new protagonist and new cast, plus it was a long time skip and took some time to start addressing plot points from the original.

The new age arc continues directly off the end of the Renril arc with the same protagonist and cast, sure there is a timeskip but there is too much continuity for it to be a separate series imho.

Shouldve made the modern era a sequel and ended the manga as it is. The characters are still lovable as usual except hayase and her descendants (excluding kahak) fair warning : if ur someone who is very emotional, please be aware of this manga, that is all.

All the arcs are amazing except this modern era arc. Im glad this is going to be an anime soon
