well, his reaction and pushing her away sucks but it's not internally inconsistent with his logic of wanting to be left alone. He's just that type of guy. True, it might be detestable but it's his character. He found the ring and it's consequences annoying from the start. I see no issue with him taking the opportunity to finally distance himself from it.

While I hate to see this kind of parting, I'm okay with it for progression purposes.

The fairy queen is actually a totally devoted spouse to be with barely any faults, how high can be this guy's standards for real? Also in real life, separating like this is the fastest way to lose interest, never forgive, never trust each other again because you met others partners while the other side was waiting you.

I don't get people. The MC actually stands up for himself and people hate him for it. The queen is also literally a fucking NPC. This is not a literal isekai, he's just playing game.

Rereading this makes me wonder what the purpose was in making that connection between the queen and earth if nothing is gunna come from it. There really wasnt much character development from rejecting her, or at least not yet from what I've seen. To me it kinda just looks like she was used to advance the plot.
