Did Akira's dad know his son was an alien? I wonder if Akira's mom is one, since we never see her in the flashbacks. Akira and his dad look too similar to have been adopted. And the other guy (forgot his name) who says he's not a normal human..could he be a mix of alien/human? He was able to board the train car, anyway
Egad, so generic. Also, how come this kind of story passed as seinen; hopefully there's improvement to make it more seinen in the future, because as it is this is just like your typical shonen manga.
Akira must have done something when he was very young and his (most likely adoptive) dad erased his memories to the point he doesn't even remember being an alien.
@AxelFaiz Seinen is the demographic of the magazine, the content doesn't matter, only the magazine's demographic for categorizing manga as Shoujo/Josei/Shounen/Seinen. Something as complex as Promised Neverland is Shounen because it runs in a shounen magazine, though many would probably think it more fitting of a Seinen title, but the magazine is Shounen, so it's Shounen. Content means nothing for demographic because the company decides, not the reader.
@Solistia Ah thanks for reminding me, sometimes I just forget seinen/shounen is demographic and not genre of manga. Perhaps due to nature of seinen intended for adult readers, I expected the story of this manga to be more 'heavy' not as lightweight as it is.
@AxelFaiz haha no problem friend. I'd hazard a guess that most people don't even know that demographic =/= genre and just assume it's the same thing XD (So props to you for knowing the difference!)
Also funny tidbit, Seinen is actually the catchall for everything not Shounen/Shoujo/Josei. The other 3 are much more specific demographics, whereas Seinen is kinda....anything else 8D
This is why a lot of cute-girls-doing-things manga and 4koma are Seinen titles, as well as many school age romances that aren't necessarily any more "adult" in content than any other shoujo or shounen title.
@Tsuki09 That wouldn’t make sense if he was adopted because he looks exactly like his father. It was one of the reasons why Tenkuubashi Shou asked him, "Why are you alive?" because Tenkuubashi though he was his father.
