Tokyo Ghoul is about a 5/10 I'd say. I'm not really into the "ghouls" as a concept because they're quite goofy, some characters were cheesy and not in an entertaining way. I probably would have enjoyed it more if I were younger due to the pure edgy shock value with the gore and all. The fighting parts in this manga are quite boring, save for a few. The interpersonal relationships between the ghouls and the CCG/humans and between themselves separately were somewhat interesting, touching or sad at times. The ending was just not good. I always try to finish what I start, which is the reason why I finished this. I probably won't read the sequel.

Read the whole series. Anteiku arc is the high point, anything after that doesn't hold up.

I always saw people shitting on the anime/manga over the years but it's actually pretty cool
Nothing exceptional but definitely not as bad as I thought
