Tomo-chan wa Onna no ko! - Vol. 7 Ch. 823 - Fear Of Regret

id rather have a conclusive ending that an ending that drags out with no answer or an axed manga

Agree with Pendulum. I prefer a good ending now that months or years with no progress.
I hope in the next chapter Tomo resolves herself to change her relationship with Jun and the story could continue to develop.

I don't want the manga to end, I want to see them dating dammit. As other people already pointed out, dating doesn't mean throwing friendship out of the window, heck, I wouldn't want that either.

I'd say Jun will do the 1st move in the next chapter. Watch my words everyone

People realize a romance manga can keep going after a couple confesses and starts going out, right?

Why are mangaka so afraid to just follow the romantic dumb-assery of a couple going out like Jitsu wa or Saotome Senshu or whatever.

Getting together isn't the end of a romantic relationship in real life, it's full of it's own shit.

No because there is a victory condition that was meet, if it continues then all we are going to get is melodrama as there is no other way to add tension back without putting the relationship in danger.
Also plenty of series have done so, I"s for example were after they "confess" the whole thing takes a nosedive in a attempt to "break then up", Kare Karo were for volumes after its about the supporting cast having their pairings (and that worked quite well, I enjoyed those side stories) added with more drama and after that is solved, it kinda ends ... and speaking of Jitsu wa Watashi wa not only it ends right after everyone exposes their secret (that was the title of the series and the original focus) but also after they paired up they also had to bring up melodrama to add stress to their relationship.

Of course it can "keep going" but its over, at that point we either get melodrama or nothing ... stories have a theme and a structure and you cannot just shift it to something else, the core of this story is Tomo wants to date Jun, thats solved and thats solved ... ITS THE END OF THE STORY.

Didn't she realize a while back that they're basically already dating? Minus any real couple stuff.

@RexNemorensis It didn't come out of nowhere, Tomo did the same thing when she decided not to confess to him during the fireworks in the festival arc.
Fumita is just being an @ss by dragging the story and keeping it in the status quo. Even this arc with Misuzu as Cinderella went nowhere, it didn't bring anything new to light that the readers or even the characters didn't already knew.

I never understood people who think "starting romantic relationship == ending friendship." The best romantic relationship ever is with your best friend!

Hey remember THREE FUCKING YEARS AGO in the first panel of the very first page when Tomo said she loved Jun? Isn't that fucking crazy to think about? What a total trainwreck

Girls, if you don't have the balls to move forward, just grab his, and push him down.

Carpe diem!

@kwijo It's more the risk involved. She loves having Jun as a friend and upgrading to romance is a good thing but if it dosen't work out generally the friendship is never the same.
