Tomo-chan wa Onna no ko! - Vol. 8 Ch. 920 - Sunk, Right Off The Bat

Ugh, seriously not a fan of this development. Maybe if they had fleshed out Gorou's character better, but obviously they did not so he's just coming off as really annoying and the whole drama feels forced.

I dunno what part of Tomo's entire existence up until this point would lead anyone - audience or character - to think that she'd be totes cool with being treated like a prize to be fought over. Let's be real, if her dad was like "Daughter, if you want to date a boy, you must first defeat him, and then me", she'd probably get super fired up for it. If it was something she was doing together with Jun, then I bet you anything she wouldn't care that they were holding off on dating, she'd just be thrilled that they could train together to take on a big challenge as a team with a cool reward waiting for them at the end of it.

Instead, she's been sidelined, without even knowing about it. Of course she's mad. Her whole fear about confessing to Jun and having him see her as a girl was that she'd stop being his bro in the process, and that's exactly what's happened. And now she can't be his bro or his girlfriend? I'd be pissed off, too.

@Rozoro
The passive aggressive thing is simply what all Women do, get used to it.

Seriously, Tomo is just a spoiled kid. You talk things over with your partner if you think there's a real issue and you're mature enough, you don't like a little kid.

Look if they talk it over the comic is over so I'm fine with this tedious side plot. We'll probably get a fun battle out of it so there's that.

@criver Not saying I don't believe you, but where I come from "Passive Aggression" is the preferred weapon of choice. You must know some exceptional women.

The whole problem with talking it out with your partner, and this situation in general is that Tomo is not Jun's partner, or significant other and never has been. Jun also never once talked with Tomo about their relationship ever so....yeah.

You are right though, communication is important. If only either one of them had bother to talk about their plans for the future this may not have even happened.

This person gets it.

The only thing that I like about this plot is that I get to see Tomo's mom, multiple chapters in a row

Honestly, they're all idiots, and at this point I'm just waiting for Misuzu to smack some sense into them, argh XD

@Rozoro as if men don't act passive aggressive either... That's not only a problem with women, guys! Though I agree that women tend to act more passive aggressive, but that's mostly because being actively aggressive tends to label women as hysterical bitches, so...

I'm actually a bit amused how Tomo ignores both those idiots, they deserve it. And it's not like they both don't know clearly what the problem is, she communicated quite clearly why she is pissed off.
Sometimes, just sometimes, you just can't deal with people who disappointed you like they did.

Declaring my allegiance to the Rozoro/Zephyr camp.

Jun and Goro are assholes. Tomo has told them exactly why she's angry and she doesn't need to repeat herself. Communication is a two way street and at no point was Tomo consulted on any of this she was just informed after the fact and expected to deal with it. Well guess what? She isn't having any of that shit.
