Ok, I Just researched it and here's what I got. Depending on your definition of 'fruit' and 'vegetable' both of them can be either of those two. Botanically speaking; Melon is a fruit, in that it is a fleshy container protecting a seed, Meanwhile a whole strawberry isn't a fruit, only the pimple looking thingy count as a fruit . However, melons are being grown using a method to grow a vegetables (I.e planting their seed), Strawberries meanwhile are grown using the method to grow fruits (I.e Planting an already grafted tree). Take it as you will, use whichever you want, Plants classification are inconsistent.
