The addition of sensei's reactions is actually genius. It's similar to the mob in Sanpakyu eyes girl, but not quite. You see, unlike the mob, which is meant to represent us, sensei has her own character and personality and social standing, which makes her reactions that much more meaningful.
The number 2 rule in writing is: it's not about WHAT happens, but WHO it happens to.
