To everyone knocking on Taira for his behaviour, I think his reaction is fairly normal. I'm not sure if he's heard any rumors about her, but she does have this "bad girl" aura around her. And he IS noticing that she seems to be a bit different from how she might appear (like with how she likes cute animals and does silly things sometimes). He's only known her for a few days at most, give it time.

Wait why is everyone hating Taira? He's considerate towards her and nice. If she came up to him and told him she wanted to go out and he still acted dense I'd understand, but he's acting like any normal guy would. Hell in most other manga the guy would have probably never even brought that fluffy animal magazine for her and just ignored her.
