I may not drop it yet, but I, too, can't tolerate her. What's-his-name shoulda just left her to her own devices. It would have been better for her in the long run to wait there like the moron she is for about 24 hours before some airport employee called the police thinking she was a suspicious person. Maybe that would snap her out of her delusions, but I doubt it.

I wouldn't doubt that the "boyfriend" will eventually text her with some quasi-believable excuse (came down with a fever, his cat had to go to the vet, he got run over while rushing to meet her) and she will, of course, believe him and give him another chance.

@steven2ss Strangely enough, that person doesn't seem overly important in the story. We could speculate a lot about what he is, if he's just a lying loser or troll, a married man wanting to cheat but not quite getting there, some predator who (fortunately) doesn't have what it takes, or whatever. However, I wouldn't be surprised if we never did learn anything more about him and he was left as a kind of faceless plot element.
