All these keyboard warriors calling MC a wuss. You forget that he is being forced to go against things above the average adventurer’s capabilities with only a convenient mini mart as a cheat with crap blessings from goddesses.

The MC is not a “chosen” hero and only is getting by because a legendary beast and goddess deem him a convenient food source. Other then that he has nothing going for him cheat skill/stat wise and even if he trains he’ll be mediocre at best.

His skill is better put to use as a merchant than an adventurer imo. If he can’t fight might as well beat your enemies with cold hard cash if he didn’t have a legendary beast protecting him.

@Alseif To be fair, the food from his cheat-mart does give buffs. Even basic ingredients give pretty substantial stat buffs. With proper training and preparation before fighting, he might actually be pretty competent. But that goes against his personality, so not gonna happen.

It's amazing how the protagonist is basically just an NPC, but he still manages to be one of the most endearing and relatable characters. Fenrir is a great character, Sui is perfection, and the dynamic between the trio is just on point. Not a single fight has had any level of weight to it, and it's got some food porn slapped in to make everything better. Truly, this is peak isekai.

@cor3zone That’s true that his food does give great buffs. However even if MC became decent at fighting the buffs still won’t allow him to contend with all these high-end monsters Feru forces him to encounter.

Learning self-defense is admirable but even that’s useless when your OP wolf bro takes you hunting dragons when you aren’t a ‘chosen’ one.

MC is a support unit more than anything and a realist that knows his limits.
