@Piuther Yeah it’s really weird lol. Seven Arcs didn’t even animate the already existing Danganronpa anime. Maybe the author just requested for the show to have a lot of pop culture references? The show and this manga aren’t afraid to use and reference licensed stuff in this work at all, so it’s pretty funny to see lol

just a wild guess but im guessing tonikaku is someone from NASA's past, he did nice stuff to her that made her like him and he just forgot about it.
