Tonikaku Kawaii - Vol. 2 Ch. 11 - The problems which occur between boy and girl usually start at this point

So it looks like she's not a supernatural being after all...

@Lex79: I wouldn't jump to any hasty conclusions just yet. Tokiko-sama (the person who supposedly witnessed the marriage certificate), could also be a supernatural being (or an alien or whatever).

And now we have established 2 things this chapter: the newlyweds are not on the same wavelength (as far as communicating with each other), and there's some stupid intrigue regarding the wife that'll probably involve men-in-black.

So he is a really intelligent boy but he just says that another girl is cute af to his wife...Guess I can't expect much from the author of a harem manga, just hope the manga tropes don't last too long.

They're teenagers? in a romcom. It's practically contractually obligated to have misunderstandings with vague and mismatched communication.

The whole point of Hayate was making fun of manga tropes and misunderstandings for comedy, while very purposefully not breaking any of the tropes it was making fun of. (example, last chapter's bath house scene) I don't expect anything different from this.

Hayate also was known for teasing potential drama and plotlines and then purposefully ignoring them.

So that is Tsukasa Grandmother or something? Seems Tsukasa hid something big(please not another arrange marriage, i hate that trope with all my soul) and seems both got a massive misunderstanding...that will be fun

This series break tropes and cliches and make their own ones...still too generic to stand up but is not boring yet, hope when the drama begins will be outstading to continue.

Yes, and Hata-sensei kept not dealing with them properly until one day, he was out of time and then had to just wrap things up in a less than satisfactory way, at least for me.

As to the misunderstandings, I really hope this manga isn't based on that. I want Nasa and Tsukasa to get that resolved fairly quickly. Ditto Aya.

Finally, another week, another Fate/FGO reference as Saber-Altria's Excalibur was one of Aya's "toys." ?

misunderstanding that leads to something good.
Approved.

If he doesn't bring a wedding dress, I'm gonna be pissed off...

That was yuri wedding, wasn't it?

edit: oh yeah. Gotta finally convince myself to watch Revolutionary Girl Utena.

I really can't stand this fucking misunderstanding shit. Is there a single romcom manga in existence that isn't utterly plagued by this shit?

oh god here we go with the Hata-style misunderstandings again, lord Hayate annoyed me with that after too long, nice reference inserts especially the screaming chicken

The Drill that will Pierce the Sky and The Sword of Promised Victory.

Nasa still won.

Just came back after chapter 70, I actually forgot about this chapter so to all the new readers, keep in mind the woman at the end of the chapter looking through the window.

I see that screaming chicken. The current location makes me think of this and this.

@uncre4tive As far as I'm aware, it's just a one page deal this person put on their twitter at some point. They have a pixiv account too but I didn't see this or anything else quite like it there at a glance.

That first page...

I hope this isn't like "Jacob's Ladder" and his whole "life" is just his last moments while he's really dying in that snowy field. That would just be...
