Though Kaguya-sama Wants To Be Confessed To / Love is War has given me some more info about this Japanese cultural aspect, I don't know the full story. I do know she gave her suitors some impossible tasks to accomplish. But in this case, she is dating Nasa in her day-to-day relationship, though they're married in the legal realm. But that was the premise: "Marry me and I'll date you." So, my understanding is that they're simply dating from her perspective.
