@ToddSama Interesting. I didn't even know such window AC devices existed. I only knew of the permanently installed ones (like in this chapter) and then the easily movable wheeled ones with a big duct coming out of them to push the hot air out of the house through a window or any other suitable hole in the walls.

Since installing a permanent AC unit like in this chapter would require the special tools plus a bottle of refrigerant, it's quite unreasonable to assume just anyone would install one, even if they knew how to in theory. It's only Nasa who just happens to know a relaxed shop that would borrow all the stuff just like that.
