Tonikaku Kawaii - Vol. 9 Ch. 89 - Phalaenopsis

@MangaMonger Not to mention the way the covers over their legs are...you can tell their legs are entwined. Maybe not be actual proof they're doing something...but you don't usually do something like that with someone unless you're sexually comfortable with them.

@LysandersTreason And you...stop reading NTR hentai...you're letting it influence how you think normal manga will progress. NTR has shitty characterization and thought processes that makes no sense even in the world of hentai. Also, NTR needs a weak-minded female MC to "work"...wifey's not weak-minded.

@Kami_Nana and the boy has to be thick in the head or have no desire for sex. Which our protagonist is obviously a big no to both.

@seanj Nah...that's not true of all NTR MC's...the one defining feature they all have is that the female lead is weak minded and makes some really asinine, illogical decisions(which makes them extremely easy to manipulate). Oh, and the female never truly cares for or values the guy.

@Kami_Nana true. And they're always super submissive and never fight back against the guy. And then they always have those inner dialogues where they're like, "x-kun... you'll still love me. Right?"

@seanj Exactly. Even more, their decision to let the rapist/manipulator/blackmailer have their way with them initially is often stupid, too. Or the condictory thought of "if I don't do this, I'll lose x-kun(to whatever circumstance the blackmailer causes)"....even though they lose them anyway by doing "this". Somehow it never occurs to them that they'll lose them eventually when the guy finds out what they've done. Hell, it's like they don't even really consider the guy...many times they could have went to their significant other and talked it over to find a way to deal with the scumbag together. :/ (Zutto Suki Datta even ends with the girl lamenting the fact that she could have went to the guy she loved to deal with the scumbag...but didn't because she conveniently had forgotten their childhood promise that he'd always help her if she ever needed him.)

@Kami_Nana it's just a really dumb trope that runs off the same formula every time, and the people who like it always say that vanilla is boring...When NTR H is so predictable. Literally the girl could deal with it with her lover as a couple. That's why they're together.

@seanj Yup. Once you've read one; then, you can perfectly predict how the others will go...with a few exceptions...very few. NTRash fans...yeah...I've come to realize they're either masochists(they empathize with the MC and share in his pain/anguish, jealousy, and sense of betrayal) or they're sadists(empathize with the villain causing that pain...even though NTR are written from the MC's PoV for a reason... :/). Vanilla rarely has someone being hurt, so of course it'll be boring to their deviant tastes.

So, so far, the theories about what exactly is Tsukasa are:
1. She's an Alien.
2. She's from the past. (Though, this ties in with the third one, so it's kinda pointless xD)
3. She's Immortal.

Plot twist: She's been cursed to live forever only until they consummate their marriage. That's why she keeps postponing...

Apologies, just trying to bring logic to the events in this manga. I will see myself out now.

So "Phalaenopsis", which is the chapter's name, legit looks like female genitalia if I have ever seen one in my life(I haven't, this is from pure culture knowledge).
Just wanted to make a point here.

I'm having a serious sense of deja vu from the "eating ramen every day" part of this chapter. Was almost this exact speech in Hayate?
