Touge Oni - Vol. 1 Ch. 1 - Oni of the Pass

well that was a very interesting 1st chapter

Got reminded of Buchimaru Chaos.

I think "human child" is supposed to be "son of man"? It's pretty common for divine entities to use it.

@asdasdgfrw
I thought of using that, except he's talking to a girl. I guess "son of man" does refer to not just dudes, but it felt kinda weird using it. I figured I might as well use "human child" if I'm gonna change that to "child of man".

@asdasdgfrw
It is, or so I think, at least. It's just that it feels odd to me and it makes me think of Jesus. I think I'll juggle between "human child" and "child of man" from now on whenever 人の仔 pops up again.

Miyo, an orphan girl, lived in fear of death as the designated sacrifice
I got baited by the description, but this "fear" thing is just not there. The girl is happy and resigned to her fate. Maybe it's just an outward appearance, but one page of tears is not enough to convince me.
This whole chapter is more like "how to become a disciple of a weird man and go on a sightseeing trip".

@asdasdgfrw "child of man" sounds weird, it would fit as a title/label, or the way of talking for Western gods more though (like "son of Odin" for example).
@GreyArea please continue to use "human child", I see no problem with that in the context.

THIS IS AWESOME.

For some reason when the future Miyo said how she was from that region at the beginning i had a stray thought of how it would be interesting if it had time travel, imagine my surprise when it was exactly that.

This was an amazing first chapter.
