I understand that an injury delayed the last chapter but I’ve heard no mention of it bringing the manga onto any sort of hiatus (meaning no new chapters at all for a while). Either injury delayed the chapter AGAIN, or this chapter is going to be very long

But the last time they had two Manga both got on hiatus at the same time too. But that time for different reasons. I remember Azuma Aya got sick when she was about to finish Ibarakasen. Really looks like they are cursed rn

Series has been cancelled. Was it MIMA? Honestly I doubt it. But who knows. Really one of two things will happen at this point. Either

A: Manga is now considered non-canon rendering all developments moot

Or B: New artist/author picks up the manga and the story continues.

B seems more likely but who knows.

As mentioned below, the artist has had to drop out for health reasons (you may have noticed that they missed a bunch of months a while ago). Hence the little "The End" and "Thanks for reading" on the last page. This was only announced a couple days ago, and apparently the fate of the manga is still being decided, but I'd say there's a good chance it will resume eventually with a different artist and possibly a different name. Since it's an official series, it'd be odd to leave it hanging there.

This has happened before, when the first artist of the Three Fairies manga had to drop out for similar reasons and was replaced a couple months later.

Anyhow, wishing a quick recovery to both the artist and the manga.
