Poor Hobgoblins...
It's always nice to see non-youkai monsters in Touhou, it really stirs the imagination on what happens to the monsters who aren't Japanese and didn't immigrate to Gensokyo. Could there be other fantastic nature preserves in other countries? Probably not, but it's fun to imagine as long as it doesn't contradict the lore outright.

I'm not on my pc right now so I cannot check. Gensokyo has no sea but I 'm pretty sure that I at one point read somewhere on the Wiki that there seems to be another sort of "continent" nobody from Gensokyo ever visited. Even if I Talk out of my ass and its just a fandome thing. The idea that such a place far away exists and western supernatural beings reside there is a great thought.
Might have be a mistranslation. Didn't Yukari said she brought the Hobgoblins from "overseas". Hmmm...
