Touhou Ibara Kasen ~ Wild and Horned Hermit.

"I might rethink it"

Honestly, Kasen, any heaven that doesn't kick Tenshi out is probably not a heaven worthy of the name.

i've always tought that WaHH and FS are so strange, they're both funny and kind of deep, with a cold war always happening in the background

Wrote a review on this, here it is:

Some summary: if you haven't played the games in the series you might be completely lost what with all the cameos. On the bright side, the manga-original and title character Kasen is new so it's not as if you'll have known about her from previous entries in the series. Furthermore, it's largely a comedy so that helps. That said, this series has a little bit of a problem in that things rarely (or NEVER) progress, but if you can accept it as a silly series about Reimu Hakurei being a scam artist, you can probably live with it. I wouldn't recommend reading the series all at once, though; it might wear you down with all that build up over Kasen's mysterious nature but no actual payoff. It's gotten better lately but... still has the "nothing happens" problem. Eh!

Those bonus strips were great! Thanks, Reality Dreamers!

@Swifft
Glad you enjoyed them. Those pages have been left in the dark and untranslated far too long, so we came to change that. (and it also made for a neat "bonus chapter" to release alongside German Volume 5)

Next chapter confirmed to be the last, probably coinciding with the new game release this summer. It was a good 8 year run.

Oh boi, only two days left before the last chapter dropped. Can't wait!! <3

My biggest disappointment(currently): I can't read Teito Monogatari on this site. I feel that it might explain some of the importance that oni hold in Gensokyo, as well as give better insight into why vengeful spirits are so feared by youkai.

@OddmanOutre vengeful spirits will corrode the fairies and posses the humans, converting them into more vengeful spirits. In other words: take your land and steal your food. But rather than fear, it is disgust. The whole SA cast live among vegerful spirits and they are just fine.
The Oni. Unlike yokai, they dont need fear. Unlike gods, they dont need faith. They are free to go at their own pace. And since they aint in Gensokyo anymore it is safe to say that they dont take any role. In the past, however, they ruled the surface.

The art in the first half of the manga is not so bad but not so good either, but from the second half the technique improves dramatically, it's like there are two mangakas drawn this manga, not that I complain or anything, but I did not expect this either.
