Maoli is Canto transliteration of "mullion". In the early 20th century British foreigner teach HK people architecture. At that time building there had a lot of large windows and balconies. Yes

The word 老 here is used for experienced/skilled while 茂 is MC name. So they still dare to stone MC even when he is skilled enough to beat that Ip Man guy.
