basically, i can't rationalize my way out of thinking they're not kid characters and thus, i can't enjoy it (plus it's just a fan service manga anyway)

135 chapters in, this has the loli/shota tags, and yet people are still coming here and complaining and/or white knighting about the fanservice. I genuinely don't get it. There's so many worse things in the world going on right now, and actually horrible things happening to real people. People really need to learn how to separate reality from fiction, and stop condemning people for reading a stylized comic book, it's such a waste of time.

Didn't I mention Rumiko? You should take a look at Urusei Yatsura and Maison Ikkoku. Then there's Dragon Ball and nudity jokes there. Basically that's the point where cultural differences start to matter. For example, try to imagine Pom Poko being made by Disney.

That's understandable, but the best would be to look for another material instead. Basically, I'm not seeing kids here. I'm seeing toons. For them to look like kids, I'd need different graphic style, like in Vagabond, or that loan shark manga. Then it wouldn't fly.

Me, I'm just happy the author dropped that ridiculously overstretched "another world in the book" nonsense and now it starts resembling the standard "Harem Comedy with Ridiculously Crude Over the Top Jokes". Those were a great source of slapstick comedy and it's been ages since there was something decent in that area with all the reincarnation isekai craze. I mean, Girl's Bravo, Aika Zero, To Love Ru. Well, already mentioned Urusei Yatsura was close, but not quite the same thing. The closest I remember to that was Ben Tou, and Jitsu Wa Watashi wa, which had the same spirit, despite being less perverted. And those were released years ago.

@DeathDonut Ding, ding, ding. That's exactly it. I'll never understand people that put real world ages and values on anime/manga characters this stylized. They often also try to give them human rights and treat them like real people. I don't see a person, I don't see an adult adult, I don't see a kid, I only see a cartoon character, a drawing, lines on a page. I will never understand people that go on moral crusades about series like this, and I can't understand people that don't separate fiction and reality, the kind of people that project real life values onto fictional drawings. There are real issues in the world and real people to help, people crusading on Mangadex helps nothing.

I never specified you, I was only talking about what DeathDonut was saying, and how people for whatever reason have this habit of seeing cartoons as real people, and that very often reads to moral crusades in comment sections like these. Which I think is highly unproductive. From what I read of your comments specifically, your stance is basically "this isn't for me, but hey people can read what they want". So I don't have any issue with you.
