I love this series, it's probably my favorite romance manga but I am a bit confused with the latest chapter. Is JK having other issues at home potentially or other issues I missed (it's been awhile since I read previous chapters) that would make her compare herself to the new kid? I know at the start she was rejected and she doesn't have any friends, but even taking into consideration her life being hard because she's falling for her teacher... that's no where close to the level of this kid. I just find it odd she would say "It's the same for me" But maybe I am misinterpreting this and it's actually referencing that she puts others into consideration before her happiness like the new kid does.

@BotR I belive the “it’s the same for me” was in reference to her suicidal self before. Like she’s telling him people has their own hardships and just like him, she also thought of killing herself before (reference to chapter one and other times she thought of just dying).

Rereading the summary really reminds me that I don’t have much of any clue about either of these characters. Like even their names. They mostly just call each other the equivalent of “high school girl” and “teacher”. Such an odd little series. MC’s life in particular is just totally a blank for me.
