@FgoSegul due to the interference of the demons no Thought communication works so Makoto is unable to contact or even know where his followers are. he is also afraid that someone as strong as sofia and lancer maybe capable of ripping open the "Mist gates" he uses to get to Asora so he is being Judicial with the use of them until he is certain he can get away without them persuing and possibly harming the residents of Asora.

misunderstood your comment. the only reason I can think of as to why he doesn't mention her is blood loss and him not thinking straight(or authors negligence ya'kno~)

You're mixing up your fights. Sophia and Lancer both barely survive this fight, but Root doesn't kill them yet. It's only after Sophia's second fight with Makoto does Root come and finish her off after she lost to Makoto.
