I don't think this was second hand male. There wa obviously a change/growing of her feelings. Issue was she still eas attached to Madoka withhopes it could happen while those other feelings begin to smoulder. While it is alil hasty in them gettng together to wrap up manga Id say thathe earned I. One of my favorite signs of tose feelings in how shes happy that he saw her dance a her own without comparing it to her mothr like everyone else
