Tsukikage Baby

why do girls read this shit? if she doesnt end up with the kid fuck this shit

@NOUN

She ends up with the nephew which I liked better. His uncle only seemed to like her because she reminded him of his dead wife who he still loved.

@kronix

There are 9 volumes. I don't remember exactly, but it seems like she begins to realize her feelings for the nephew and is conflicted because of her feelings for his uncle. I wanna say she gets rejected by the uncle, but not sure. She realizes she loves the nephew more at some point. I think it ended with from the uncles point of view and he's head to their wedding, but again not sure.

Edit: I looked it up and it's a slow burn romance. She finally reveals her feelings for the nephew in the final volume. It was still pretty good. I'd like to see it finished.

@jak eh, how boring, that's kind of boring, it's feel more like shoujo. feel like to drop it.

@NOUN - Not really. It would have been more boring if the other thing happened.

It was one sided for her. The uncle never actually liked her.

A new chapter, thanks to Timeless Scans. I still find myself amazed at Kodama Yuki's artwork and great story lines. I got hooked with Sakamichi no Apollon, and I'm enjoying this just as much.

Wow! I should be used to how amazing Kodama Yuki Sensei is, but she still manages to blow me away. This is definitely one god-like mangaka. Her stories rock with a capital R!

I'm enjoying this more for the focus on Owara than the romance and tragedy angle. Good read, awaiting the conclusion to be translated, though it's pretty easy to guess where it's going.

Honestly I understand Kodama-sensei's intentions (coming of age, etc) but these kinds of josei romanticizing an underage girl pining for a dude her father's age always leave a bad taste in my mouth. Hotaruko girl, love yourself. That said, the storytelling is still very beautiful.

@mochim
This is just anecdotal, but I witnessed that kind of love first hand with two girls, back when I was in high school. For me it's like "Oh yeah I can totally see that happening". Personally I also find it super questionable, but it's just one of these themes that, at least for me, is rooted in reality.
