Super rushed. I'm not unhappy for him, but I think that a different development would've been better. Like, maybe she was lying about having a boyfriend back home because she wanted to create some space between them, but realized she liked him as they hung out or something like that, so she invited him to wait on a boy that doesn't exist and then they could sort things out from there.

The chapter title says it all. No contrived reasons, no fake outs, just two people who got close to each other without fully understanding what they were doing. I feel like this was the only good end for them that would be any kind of realistic. Maybe Enomoto knew that Motoyama had feelings for her and maybe she didn't. It really doesn't matter. The fact remains that when she needed someone to be there for her he was and when he finally confessed his feelings she reciprocated.

Motoyama got exactly what he wanted so I'm not sure why anyone would feel bad for him. How can you do better than the person you are madly in love with?

This ending felt way too rushed. I feel like ending it at the previous chapter would have been better in terms of story quality, even if it was heartbreaking. But I'm glad to get this closure chapter because it means Motoyama's happy ending is canon. So in my heart, I'm just going to rewrite the ending into something more satisfying. :')
