I don't know why those girls are getting so upset. "You didn't mean to do it, but you did." is a valid thing to say in pretty much almost any relationship, and expressing that and resolving the issue is a lot better and healthier than just staying quiet about it until someone blows up (not necessarily the one holding it in) and it becomes a big mess.

Okay, he went with the player/possible GF - jacket route instead of the cheat ability - plated armor, that seems to be superior in any way. I can respect that, even though I wouldn't go for that kind of girl, if I would be in his stead. But I do respect that

His mom has been a pain for him since the beginning and might be in a hyperactive overdrive. He is her son and he can judge this the best. Both girls are onlookers and don't know the family business between mother and son. Maybe he has to stop her from time to time.

Sure, it is ugly to blow up in front of your friends, but his mom touched his stuff and ruined it. And it does appear she invades his life that all the time. I'm not talking about the inversion a parent should do into the lives of their children, I mean the sphere of private he should have as a high-schooler. You know, the "I'm not dealing with shady people and I'm not staying out too late without telling you. I also tell you where I go, even If I won't tell you what exactly I'm doing, but at least I really don't lie to you and you reeeeaaaally have no reason to worry."-kind of earned privacy. The MC give of a vibe of a non-endangered teen.
His mom is always disturbing it and he has all the right to snap. And both girls should be aware of it. And they are, as they told him of in a rather mild manner. Still no reason to shame him that much.

You know, taking a step back from all the emotions present in this chapter, I gotta say.

The first thing she does is try and frame it that he has an antagonistic mindset when he was trying to stay calm and get an explanation. "You're misunderstanding it! I didn't have any bad intentions" implies that he thought she had bad intentions.
Then she tries to appeal to him by saying it was for his sake, and then explains her excuse.
And only then does she say she's sorry.

Lol people are mad because apparently MC was justified in blowing up on his mom for something she was genuinely trying to help with. Sure glad you Fools never grew up in my household: talking like that to your parents would get you a slipper in the head.

Seriously tho I think Wise stepping in was justified. Mom was already regretful of ruining the suit so there's nothing to gain from the rant except rubbing salt in the wound. That just makes you a bully at that point. A bully to your mom of all things.

This manga is garbage. Over preachy with hypocrisy all over it. Not sure who this manga's target audience is? The mother is cute but incredibly annoying and so is the only girlfriend option next to him... Hoped it would change somehow or add some much needed fanservice to give a reason to continue, if slight, but nothing is gained, time has been wasted.
