@Brotagonist that the current demon lord isn't the one mc knew was a thing revealed way back in the rogue dragon arc. Not saying this was a strong arc, it promised a change of pace with a murder mystery and gave us a kangaroo court duel instead, just that I don't feel like the demon lord's why it's not great.

Targ popping up at the end all casual villainy is probably my favorite part of the arc.

so the culprit was a guy that wasn't even mention or part of the suspect list? isn't that just fun, when a story sets up a mystery for you to solve but doesn't give you any real clues and doesn't even put the real bad guy on the suspect list...

For strongest challenge Sanwan gone without taking a limb or two with him. I mean, shonen heroes barely suffer permanent injuries unless it is part of their character establishment early on in the series, but still.
