I know a lot of people are mad and disappointed in the whole “Usagi Drop” route it’s headed, but child grooming doesn’t sound correct. Dale is completely oblivious to anything that isn’t “raising his daughter”. He’s not doing it to get into her pants, or anything unsavory. He’s just discovered the joys of being a doting father. Currently, all romantic feelings are on Latina’s side, right? It feels closer to an Electra Complex.

That aside, yeah, I’m not a fan of Usagi Drop either. At least, not the time skip and everything it brings with it. So just take a page from my book and enjoy the story while it’s more or less still innocent. Enjoy it while it lasts, and pretend the story ends in the same manner Usagi Drop’s anime does. And whatever you do, don’t check the artist’s previous works for any other cute manga he may have done in the past. You won’t find what you’re hoping for.

Dale and Latina age-gap is not much actually , 10 y at most.
Obviously Latina never see Dale as a father figure since CH1. Her real father is dead, and Kenneth and his wife are more parental figure for her.
Ofc, they're not related at all.
There is a HUGE story after the calm time pass, this is not only fluff here, and it explain a LOT of things.

So yeah, feel free to drop this great story if you want after "spoiling" yourself 1/10th of it and expecting the wrong thing, or just keep reading and see for yourself.

About the whole Usagi Drop thing, even though the age difference is less and she has other parental figures, it still feels a bit weird since Dale refers to her when he talks to others as his daughter. Hell, even the name of the series is "For My DAUGHTER, I Might Even Be Able to Defeat the Demon King". You have to admit that there is something going on in their current relationship that makes the upcoming romance borderline incestuous. I guess the only way to view it in a less creepy light is to think of it as the type of relationship where the guy is called "Daddy" (Still Oedipas complex as fuck though).

Still enjoy the manga though, have no plans on dropping it.

im a little bit dissapointed about the end to be honest, i thought dale gonna meet some woman and latina seeing her as a somewhat parental figure end. But that dissapointment doesnt make me wanna drop this series either, i just wish i could find some manga about raising child that doesnt have usagi drop-y ending. Hit me up in the pm, if any of you find ones.
EDIT: found one, my girl by sahara mizu, about a dad who found out his deceased
ex lover left him a daughter, seems interesting.
