@voidox I'll just keep reading this as long as it still stays like this. I assume there will be some time skips eventually, and I will drop the series. I stopped reading the novel translation at one, somewhat early point as well. The spoilers I heard made me lose my interest. However, the manga will be worth it for the visuals for a little while.

Man, people don't get it. Everyone saying the ending is terrible don't get dale's character. It tells you in the title itself what he is like "If It's for My Daughter, I'd Even Defeat a Demon Lord". Dale will do literally anything Latina asks him to do, so if she asks him to kill a demon lord he will do it. This is why the ending happens, because she asked him to, and he can never ever say no to her.

personally i didn't find the ending of the light novel to be bad
it fit the story well unlike others that tried to do the same.
the hints are all there in the story.
