Uchi no Maou ga Tenshi de tsurai - Ch. 7

....I mean didn’t the king try to kill you. I get a knight gas has his moral code but I don’t think you owe him anything. At the very least just free the dogs and issue the knights a warning.

He's not worried because he's scared the soldiers may recognise him. It's a metter of honor. He IS the Hero, he's supposed to protect humans. One thing is saving your enemy's daughter in an act of pity, another one is to kill humans to help the demons, who are still your enemies.

Hey these people working directly for the king that set me up to murder an innocent and orphan this sweet child I've taken under my wing.
They just went on ahead and burned down an entire village, kidnap all the adults, and plan to make them work slave labor in their own mines. I wonder if it's okay to betray the king.
What is he a Japanese isekai hero? I thought this hero was native to this world not naive to it. Getting trick is one thing but getting tricked and maintaining loyalty to them is whole other ballgame.

hooman bad demon gewd

As much as I like this manga, this trope has become even more typical than if it was played straight.

Writer: How do we make sure it is obvious they are evil? I know, have them literally kill dogs!

@Tersione @couscous
Nah in this case, the demons have also been razing villages as well, which is why the hero became the way he is. I hope the author doesn't lose focus on that bit, that war brings out the absolute worst in people and that everyone can fucking suck, but who knows.

@Tersione Yeah it just gets repetitive when one side is good and the other side is bad. It would be pretty interesting if they hit us with a mix up and her continue to be on this whole friendship making path and then have her slide more so into her mother's shoes after essentially becoming numb to all of the horrors she experienced. Then it's up to the hero to either guide her out of it or end up killing her again. Idk if they plan on making this shit that deep tho. Seems more like a feels good type manga so I doubt they would make it kind of fucked up.

@Podi125 Oh, it's plenty feel-good, but it also introduces the plot point of the hero killing the kid's mother very early on. Something dark and heart-breaking is bound to happen amidst the fluff.

@Tersione Fair point, but I don't think they are gunna take it that much deeper than that. Odds are she's just gunna end up forgiving him for it. I would LOVE to be surprised though. Getting hit with a mix up that blows your fucking mind feels amazing.
