Uchi no Musuko wa Tabun Gay - Vol. 1 Ch. 7 - Popular Drama

I remember my mother being firmly against gay marriage and I lost all desire to come out for years.
Shit sucks, yo.

This was my bad feeling from the previous chapter, I knew something was gonna happen and it was gonna involve the dad. But it's nice how the author did t and showed how it was dealt with.

And the little brother clearly knows, you can tell by his face when the dad said those things.

@no1special
Stay strong. You're important regardless of acceptance.

Mine didn't. I got married to my wife anyway. Then I really thought about it and realized they had been tremendously emotionally abusive my whole life and now I don't care.
I hope you have a different experience.

Whether you're straight or gay, this series is cute and wholesome. Great job by the author.

I knew a gay guy in high school and asked him what he thought about female genitalia

"Ew. It looks like a sad old man"

Really couldn't say anything to that. Point is that we all have our own preferences. Just don't get in other people's way.

I'm actually glad the dad is just insensitive and not a bad guy. He can get better. Mom sure is great at dealing with this and being on her son's side.

Also it's cool to see so many nice comments here.

Surprised to not see everyone and their mom calling the dad an homophobic bigot and how the mom should divorce him and what-not.

I sympathize with the father, although I think most 3D kissing scenes are awkward as fuck.

@Midoriha Ignorance isn't the same as homophobia. His comment is essentially his feelings and experiences as a straight man, so you can't really fault him for saying something like "Well, I'm not into guys so seeing them kiss is weird." He also hasn't actually seen the drama, so he has zero ideas on how he'd actually feel/react seeing two guys kiss, which is why mom's response of "Why not just see it then?" was enough.

Now had he said something along the lines of "Wow, can you believe they're letting fags kiss on TV nowadays? That's disgusting! How dare they do something like this, what if a kid saw that and became a fag too?! Neither of you boys better be a fucking faggot or I'll kill you!" ... Then I can see other people being less forgiving.

The way the artist draws the MC's reactions are disgusting to me, but god damn this one hurt me since he overreacted to what his dad said. Poor kid :pepeHands:

@Ceiye if only the rest of the intent could realize this and not think that this either means the dad is homophobic for a casual mention of something meant more for conversation than some preach on his politcs.

I thought the dad was gonna turn out to be gay instead of homophobic I'm not gonna lie

@Despada
See, that's exactly my point.
Nowadays just saying "Eh, not my thing you do you" is enough to get the twitter brigade on a campaign to cancel you and doxx you and your family and saying you're homophobic or a bigot and what-not.
