@tomtom78 Hear me out... i wouldn't qualify his father as a homophobe, this word means that someone has a real fear or hate of homosexuality, he clearly has a conservative view but he doesn't seem the type to hate the people that are gay.

In my opinion, it is alright to have your... let's say... reservations about a certain topic or people that qualify in the said topic, what is bad is to completely ostracize and even actively hurt said people, it is a tricky balance to achieve, but it is necessary to notice as much as someone has the right to love anyone they want others have the right too to be uncomfortable with it.

@alacaelum I agree. I don't really think he's a homophobe. Also, the father doesn't actually knows that his son is gay that's why it's understandable why he made those comments. If he knew, I'm sure he's gonna supportive. Just like what the Mom said, they all just want to support their son in their own ways (Even though the father is pretty dense and doesn't have a clue about his son)
