I like this new development...it’ll at least show that Tanaka isn’t as braindead as he often seems.
This chapter also made me finally realize that Ueno has a pretty serious case of social anxiety...it was already very likely, but the fact that she always freezes in unexpected situations seals the deal.

That being said, I also noticed they never acknowledged the reason as to why those two were looking for their brother...

maybe it's カニの左手[あく][まで]右手 respectively [evil] and [as far as], that would somehow explain why there is angry mark on one of crab's left claw. あくまで alone doesn't make much sense to me, but it could be some obscure pun of some sort
