Touko got a far better ending than she deserved. She probably could have had Mayumi had she just been honest and straightforward. Instead, she decided to pull a bunch of mind-fuckery and it backfired on her spectacularly.

Personally, I would have liked to have seen her alone at the end, wallowing in self pity and regretting all her choices after her husband inevitably leaves her, and her secret crush BFF chose another girl and is happily living together with her. That's the ending she truly deserved.

Touko really doesn't deserve forgiveness no matter how much she wanted to bang Mayumi. Like I'm honestly find with this ending till we saw that Touko and Mayumi are still friends, like they don't deserve to be. Mayumi realized that Touko isn't the healthiest person for her, and while I don't need Mayumi to tell her off, she really shouldn't have stayed in contact. Just makes me feel like Touko will try to get at her again. Like Touko having that sad eye knowing she can't make Mayumi do what she wanted was great, and honestly everything else worked out well enough. I'd love for Rin and Mayumi to get more lovey dovey or at least had an epilogue proper, but that's all.

Kodama kinda dropped the ball with this one imo. Had potential but she was like "this touko Mayumi plot is too hard I'm just gonna skip it" at the end.... None of the characters except Mayumi had any major development and mayumi's was soooo predictable. Rin was my favorite and the only character that stands out.
