alright, i’m placing my bets that the mc is also a with. the dad knew about it. the fact that he had prepared a second identity for her and didn’t introduce her into high society is already really fishy. it reinforces the suspicion towards how planned everything is. plus i’m assuming all the witches are women, so her presenting as a man would help if she was a witch.

as far as this guy (who is obviously the ml because he’s on the cover— i don’t have high hopes for these sort of stories pulling another lead as endgame), tbh i’m not that pissed about it yet because i don’t know enough about the world building. maybe i’m way too desensitized since a lot of palace/political intrigue novels are much more brutal than this? i’ll see how the next few chapters go i guess.

The male lead is like that? I feel like dropping this already. He's a pretty cliche character, and drops people like flies. I'll keep reading a few more chapters, but I don't think itll be any good. I mean whats up with koreans and having psychopaths for male leads. Its always like "You killed a lot of innocent people, are an arrogant ass hat, kinda rape-y and possessive, killed me in my past life, but you love me, so I'll forgive you and marry you?"

I bet shes like the 10th innocent "witch" he's killed.

10 more chapters, but so far, I'm disliking the male lead. That last panel with him in "agony" doesn't make my sympathetic for him. It makes me dislike him even more. Good job author.
