thats the whole point of an ai, they have free will like a person so the standard ship "AI's" are more like user interfaces
and also announcing your next move is to delete an ai whilst theyre listening and have a whole bunch of guns ready to fire is probably not the best plan

That A.I.-font is pretty terrible choice in my opinion.. It's really unpleasant to read for eyes.

Also, if I were this guy, then a "deleting" from those guys would seem like a blessing. Living as a space ship-A.I. seems like a hell when you think about it. He even feels pain when the ship is injured. That's just messed up.
