Upload chapters exceeding the 100mb limit

Can't upload chapters 12 through 14 of https://mangadex.org/title/39795/monster-hunter-monhun-no-erohon-doujinshi/chapters/ due to them exceeding the 100mb upload limit.

Don't save jpegs at 99% quality. Saving it at 95% results in ~30% less filesize with next to 0 visual difference.

Edit: also save it as progressive. That's extra 10-15% less filesize.

Edit2: save grayscale images as grayscale. Not RGB. Even for jpeg it's extra 2-5% less filesize.

In GIMP, I can see the new file size and I tick down the percent until I hit my target. This is only for single images though. You might look into a batch converter.

I can't upload a chapter, even though that didn't exceed 100 MB (30MB).

If it's taking you more than a minute before it fails, the upload may be timing out.

Make a new thread or use the support channel on Discord.
