Useless Ponko - Vol. 3 Ch. 22 - Ponko and Fireworks

The Pinochio's reference was really good.
It creates a sad, hopeless atmosphere.
I love it.

why would a whale know the story of pinoochio?

and don't tell me it read the book, ( too many logistical problems )

@Iwizesol
Well, considering the implication that it's not the first time the whale spoke to a humanoid, I guess someone from the distant past told them the story.

I hope that preview is a joke, or a dream fantasy.

I like the bittersweet nature of this story, it juggles comedy moments with the overlying theme that everything dies, and when the old man dies, so will Ponko.

I suppose the granddaughter could inherit/buy Ponko, and she could look after her children etc. and then the story could turn out like the Robin Williams Film Bicentennial Man

I can't be the only one who thinks that doodle of Geppetto looks like Jon Arbuckle from Garfield right?

It took me by surprise the whale knows the story of Pinocchio, good chapter though.

I cried at the story ref of pinocchio BUT HOLY SHIT I LAUGHED SO HARD AT THE FIREWORKS PART OMG

Who did the whale talk to in the past? A robot just like Ponko? Maybe that's where he got the story of pinnochio
