Useless Ponko - Vol. 4 Ch. 28 - Runaway Ponko

Yep sounds about right with all the studying at that age. Never going out and never hanging out with friends. Always being told to think about the future

Ponko was 100% helpfull this chapter...hehe

Wonder if Yunna's mother will appear in the next few chapters.

@Oeconomist I think "runaway" is correct. Yuuna did, after all. Just not Ponko. Which is why I said it's misleading.

As for your suggestion... I don't know. I personally think it's better if the author titled it something like "Ponko and The Runaway Girl" or something like that. Or maybe he did, but the translator thought that this is better.

@Truerror

If one just does an ignorant word-by-word translation, which is about all that I'm good for with Japanese, then the title translates as “Get [it] out Ponko”.

@Buraindo They can lie, but usually don't because it can bring harm to humans. In this case lying about Yuuna's whereabouts prevented emotional harm to Yuuna, so Ponko's lying was to prevent harm to a human being. The lie doesn't really harm Yuuna's mother any, and since Gramps was already covering for Yuuna's absence, it won't harm him either. Ponko's lie is perfectly fine under the three laws of robotics.
