@Kaiofficialone you were 12 once. Also her mother apparently did promise burgers, so I can understand her disappointment even if I deplore how she dealt with that emotion.

Notice how the unsung hero of this chapter is Ponko. She intervened and took the attention away from the burger disappointment, which also served as a distraction for the boys to sneak off, and stayed until the end to wash dishes. True waifu material right there.
