Ushijima-kun the Loan Shark - Vol. 8 Ch. 80 - Freeter-kun 15

She wants to sell the house of the parents of her husband to pay the other debt that she accumulated on the stock market without the husband finding out.

No wonder the son is like that, he is doing the exact same thing hiding his own debt by hiding those envelopes.

At this point it s just a spin off of the books "a series of unfortunate events" and I can tell they gonna make this family 10 times more miserable than they are allready.

@Doomroar
"to pay the other debt that she accumulated on the stock market"

To be fair she didn't actually accumulate any debt on the stock market. The scam artists just told her that she had.

@Northern the point is how she is acting about it, whether she knows the debt was real or not is besides the point.

For example the son just went and hid the citations for the debts of her mom thinking that they were his own debts, both the mother and son are acting incorrectly under information that is false, however if the information were real their actions would have been the same ones.

You know, when push comes the shove, you can't really learn how to handle it. You just do what you can. The thing is, that the push is finance, and the target was extremely illiterate. So even if she somehow gained calmness, and spent all her time learning how to handle such situations, she wouldn't be able to physically do it. At max she'd realize that the whole stock affair was a fraud, but there should be at least a few layers of protection against her filling law suits.

...Though, now that I think about it, if Utsui-san were really to go to the police with enough evidence to start the case, in theory I'm sure it would be possible to delay her payments upon farther investigation, since they could be related to her being defrauded. I'm not very good at credit fraud basics, but if you took a loan to pay a loan you were tricked to take, then I guess you could freeze the sub-loan while the initial one is investigated.
