Usogui - Vol. 19 Ch. 204 - Empire Tower

Now even omakes? You are the best.

That explanation at the end was very helpful, although im surprised I was getting it without even needing it. What im wondering its what will the match inside the tower even be about. Im guessing its gonna be related with the karamete.

Its a tribute for Leader in order to have him accept a rematch for the leader game.

I'm confused as to what Baku actually did to set the karamete in motion, did he blackmail people in these organizations to work for kakerou by threatening to expose them on the show or did he black mail the companies and then recommended them to hire people who are secretly working for kakerou?

@jimmy204

I believe it's the second one. The companies were told to hire the men recommended by Baku, and they aren't aware that they are essentially spies working for Kakerou.

Holy dang... Not only team duwang delivers chapter, but now also a comprehensive notes, a damn detailed one on top of that (I mean, mentioning c.199 panel 3 for such a subtle action?).

If there's an award for scanslation, I think I will vote on Duwang Team...

Btw, why don't we have Scanslation Award?

What I wonder is if that girl actually lived or not? Pretty sure she did live since they mentioned for her to meet her father in Aizu.

@Ominous

I wonder too. Even though the leader took his life as a wager, it did seem like he was still alive? This interaction reminds me of something that happened earlier on in the series that wasn't explained:

Why was Baku spared after losing the "surpassing the leader" game for the first time? Maybe it was simply because the Leader was grateful for the 'tribute' and all the money Baku lost at that time, similar to what happened in this chapter? Or that he thought Baku would challenge him again and offer up more money, so it was more profitable to let him live. The author is hiding a lot of information about that game and Baku's past though, I'm hoping there is more to the story.

I also wonder how much of that whole plan was actually a set-up by the leader, or if he simply made use of the coincidence of the daughter watching.

I sad this like 30 chapters before but I think its obvious Baku and Leader have some personal story together. This because Leader has been REALLY insistent that he doesnt care or remember Usogui, yet he lets him live. He is being tsun.

All this time, I thought Karamete was just a misspelling for Calamity...
