Indeed, Kakerou is responsible that no harm will come to all three of them until end of match (and after, if Gakuto wins).

However, it is up to the girls who are watching them to interpret what "no harm to be done" covers. If the sailors forcefully lead them out of the room, they can interpret it either way.

Gakuto needed to avoid sinking the Cruiser until he already knew where another ship was, so he could try to sink multiple ships in a turn.

@Hellsau indeed the moment he got the second hit, he should have gone and explore another part of the map that way he could access the special ability of the barrage fire which can damage 5 tiles in a row, this mistake will allow the captain to know that Ofuna was not the one behind the phone tricks.

I agree that the Battleship game is pretty simple, but given that this was Lacy's game of choice, he probably has some form of cheat set in place for it, that makes use of the "system" so it's not invalid by Kakerou rules.

Yeah, I really wonder what he's got rigged up. The only thing suspicious I recall is that body check he did to Gakuto, perhaps as a preparation for his cheat, but no idea exactly why yet. The captain placing a bug on him seems possible, but I'm expecting or hoping Gakuto didn't fall to something simple like that.
