The years have not been overly kind with the lady Vampire Chef has been waiting for. The series description blurb was quite accurate.

1. to use a quotation from Tolstoy at all is either quite cynical or testifies to pure lack of knowledge.
2. is it more an idiom than a quotation and therefore I even less believe that it is from Tolstoy at all.
Indeed, Tolstoy has pondered and commented a lot about nutrition, but in a completely different way ...
In this context it would be hilarious if at the end the rumors about his famous "special taste" were actually true. That would be a really entertaining twist.
