For people who still don't know what they are getting into, here's an excerpt from the novel's FIRST chapter that the manga wisely did not add to itself:

If there really was, then I wouldn’t be spending everyday studying something as boring as Magic Theory, Elemental Systems, or Magical Beasts. I would have studied Mathematics, Literature, and all these interesting things a long time ago.” Guan Gu said—with a sincere expression and a heartfelt tone—to Mo Fan.

Yes. The author of this series is so pants on head retarded that he thinks an advanced society, or any kind of society really, can exist without BASIC math. Technology and science sure, but basic math? This is the kind of intelligence and common sense you can expect from this series, basically, the premise is fucked up from the very first chapter.

Not sure if "[Mo Fan] can use all magic" in the description is correct since the story is ongoing for us here.

@KuroAnsatsu ya exactly. It baffles me how so much people pump their expectations to really high level even before reading first chapter entirely and then- "meh, I expected more". So WHAT DID you expect? I dunno, something different. Always the same. I won't tell that every manga/manhua/manhwa/etc is a masterpiece- some of them are made to just have a good time, to make shits and giggles, that type of humour. I'm not saying everyone needs to like that but if you don't like it- it's totally OK, just stop reading and leave it be instead of shitposting left and right how horrible it is because you- of all people, the one and only oracle in that subject said that it's crap so it's absolute truth from now on. Simple as that.

This starts out interesting but like every chinese web novel adaption it turns to shit as it goes on. The plot speeds up and they start leaving out huge chunks of the novel so its impossible to figure out whats going on as important events, items, characters and plot points appear and disappear at what feels like random and you have to guess what happened "off screen". It really goes off the rail in the undead arc (late 300's on). The fan translation also becomes complete fucking gibberish e.g. "We're in sirius situation here. Stop being so spertitous. We're from Magic Socirty" Shame as it was interesting enough.
