Lol. I totalky knew it was gonna be the prev heroine. I mean, a stupid water healer mage who forgot to do her job and had to be saved my someone else. Like, who else was it gonna be?? And dont forget that these heroines bring misfortune to whoevers not her friends and lover. This includes our female lead. Basically, the element is part of the magician body (that's why she's cold and Ishid is hot, literally) and she can absorb the water temporary to her heart.
