It's not that I condone death threats but the original Penelope was a total badass, saying she'd use a crossbow to kill a b*tch because a truly vain person would be too scared to touch a doorknob in fear of injuring their manicure Especially in this stupid patriarchal setting these types of stories use where every noble lady must be escorted by a man whenever they leave the house.
